Try to sell to me your services in the first 5 minutes of meeting? It’s a hard no.
Thrust your business card onto me without any conversation? That thing will probably get lost at the bottom of my handbag then serve as the bin for my freshly chewed gum (Soz lol).
Instead, I like to go in without any agenda, other than to have fun and curious conversations.
I aim for 3 quality conversations per event, and go in as though I’m completely ignorant, so I get to have conversations that lead to thought-provoking questions, and the other person gets to teach me something I don’t already know.
Anything above that? It’s a bonus!!!
And it’s true: When you try less, you get more.
